Lead Generation Marketing

Lead Generation Marketing

By: Tina Walczak & Cam Schreiner
Today Cam and I are going to discuss lead generation marketing. This is a method that I used when we first started our agency and continue to use. It’s not the only way, but it has worked for me in the past.

Lead Generation Marketing: Beginning Stages

When Will and I were at the beginning stages of growing Hiilite Marketing Agency, we both had a hunger to make this business work. I prayed to God, asking him to keep me out of a cubical – but there was another part of me that liked the safety of working for someone because it meant that I didn’t need to worry about where the work was coming from.
But at that moment, in my position, it was up to me to find work. It felt like I was hiking in the wilderness with no map, and if I didn’t figure out how to survive, I would be bear food.
So, I took a deep breath and set out an adventure that I’m happy to say has been the most exciting time of my life.
So, how do you hike without a map? Well, if you look close, there is generally a trail, you just need to be willing to spend some time looking for it. And That’s exactly what I did.
When looking for work, we began to find multiple routes that would open up as we explored.

Generation Leads: Indeed.com

Today, Cam and I are going to share one way to generate leads, which is the trail called Indeed.com. Say you’re a marketer looking for contract work, all you need to do is follow these steps.
  1. Type in Marketing in Indeed – I use Indeed to find work because there are a ton of jobs, but what makes it really cool is that most job postings have a salary tied to them.
  2. Read the job posting, can you or your marketing agency actually do the work? I’m seeing that we can Indeed ???? do the work.
  3. Refine your resume to reflect the job posting (No one wants to listen to your ramble) – While working on this, we looked at one as an example, but unfortunately, we can’t show you who it is.
  4. Send off your resume
This can be a little time consuming, but if you spend a day doing this, you could probably send off your resume to 10 –15 people looking for your marketing services. You may or may not get a bite, if you don’t then have a professional editor to review your resume.
If you want help with your resume, or you have other tactics, feel free to reach out to Cam or me.
