Last weekend in Kelowna, our Hiilite team joined the Data Nerds in their event to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation. The Nerd Olympics brought together some big names in Kelowna tech industry to face off against each other in some very serious games. No, we’re serious. Human Hungry Hungry Hippos is no joke!
Dressed to Impress
On Saturday morning the team took to City Park dressed in the very best. I mean, what else do you wear when it’s cold and wet in the park? Animal print onesies, obviously. The Data Nerds put on a great event with all kinds of activities ranging from a Nerd Relay to Bubble Soccer. Our necks really thanked you for that last one!
Giving Back
Collectively the Data Nerds were able to raise $1900 for the BC Cancer Foundation. What is great about that is that all the donations stay locally within the province and go towards leading-edge research and improving cancer care.
We had a blast attending this event and can’t wait for next year where we will establish our dominance and win! Well, we will at least bring our A game when it comes to costumes. Thanks again Data Nerds!
