Content Strategist

In an unlikely (but strangely complementary) duo, Jake graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a B.A. and a major in mathematics and a minor in creative writing. In other words, he’s able to use 50% more brain per brain. Jokes aside, this degree has set him up to both understand and interpret the statistical side of content performance in addition to coming up with unique and original ideas. In turn, this helps him to help deliver measurable, successful results for a wide spectrum of clients. He’s also fully certified from Digital Marketer as a Direct Response Copywriting Specialist which has given him additional perspective on understanding how to write effectively for many different industries.

Jake began his marketing career as an intern at a smaller marketing agency. There, he was exposed to the many different parts of the marketing world—including project management and videography. This led him to his passion for crafting content, particularly written copy. Jake’s always looking to expand his skillset and enjoys coming up with new and creative pieces of writing for Hiilite every day. 

When he’s not typing away in thought, Jake is clashing literal swords at the Okanagan Fencing Club, hiking the trails of B.C., and building his creative skills through personal projects.
